I think this is just beautiful.
Such lovely and inspiring work. Your bird is very sweet and the words encouraging. Have a beautiful day.Tamara <3
Such a beautiful piece! I love the tatting.
Just such a lovely, lovely box. If it were mine, I'd store a few found feathers in it when I'm lucky enough to find them while walking outside. Your work truly is a gentle, soothing inspiration.Diane in North Carolina
This is so beautiful...perfect. I love the colours you chose for the feathers and speckles.
Just beautiful!! I love that bird - you did an amazing job!! xo
This is beautiful. Love all of the elements, can't pick a fave. Awesome.
A lovely piece of work. Your stitching is beautiful.
This is the most beautiful bird you have worked - stunning and reminds us of the dawn chorus. My husband wonders why you chose that particular key in the music?
Oh my your stitching of the bird is just outstanding, thanks for sharing the closeup picture, beautiful work you do!!
Oh, I love it! You really are an artist, using fabric and thread in place of canvas and paints. I especially like the shading on his back, and the speckles, of course. What joy it would be to open this as a daily affirmation. Wonderful!
Christine, This is so beautiful!!! I have a question for you about the bird pattern! He is just gorgeous! I will lol here on your blog for your email! Love love your work, you are an inspiration!Hugs, Betsy
Your embroidery work is stunning. If this style had been fashionable 50 years ago, I think we would ALL still be embroidering :)
Thank you for all of your kind and generous comments - I really appreciate them. There was no particular method in the musical notes I chose for this piece Andy Lloyd Williams, although I did like the inclusion of the italian phrase 'colla voce'. Christine x
Do you have a pattern for this beautiful embroidered design? I would love to make a bird like it. I am new to your blog, and I have to say I LOVE everything I am seeing here. I too collect bits of fabrics, laces, buttons, stones, feathers and little bits of things, but then never know what to do with them. You are giving me many great ideas! Thank you!
Hi Avis - Sorry - I don't produce patterns for the things I make - thanks for reading. Best wishes Christine.
Adorable, precioso, tierno...
